Paper Engineering
YouTube is being very helpful to me at the moment and I think it's because I am better at watching and listening than I am reading. With reading my attention span in minimum, I love it but the information seems to take a little longer to process. So I decided to do some research on youTube with some key words and see what would come up.
Firstly "paper mountain".
Firstly "paper mountain".
My attempt on a scrap of paper from another project:
For some reason the mountain in the background came out smaller! However I actually prefer this as it gives it a bit more depth. I thought I would play around with this as I like the text on it. I had kept a piece of round paper I had cut out of a book from a previous project which has a nice tint to it so I've used it as the sun.
I then added text to act as could that are relevant to some of the emotions I have pin pointed.
Second attempt, got the background mountain the same size.
I understand now why they made this with paper that has a different reverse side colour. Oh well, worked out anyway!
I enjoyed listening to what this guy has to say. The Christmas box is ingenious. It's the sort of thing I was very engaged with when I was younger, and I still love all the hidden compartments. Something to consider.
Paper engineering is very clever but I'm not sure it's something that I'm that interested in therefor I'm not sure whether I will pursue this. That doesn't mean to say the book idea is out of the question but I'm not sure this is the same rout. We will see.
