Banff Mountain Film Festival
Last night I went to the Banff Mountain Film Festival in Brighton, find their site here. This was part one, the Red Programme and unfortunately I wont be able to go to the second part in April.
I was so happy I found out about this event! I was inspirational for my art but also towards my life. There was one video called INTERSECTION:MICAYLA GATTO which shows the world of this mountain biker/ artist. This spoke to me because she was saying how she always thought that you had to be one thing, but she had two things that she loved equally, the film celebrates people that don't fit into one category. This resonated so much with me, although I am not a professional skier, far from it, I love skiing just as much as art. It has made me think more clearly about what I might do in the future. What seemed bleak now seems as though there is actually a possibility for me to go down a happier rout.
You can see a few notes bellow.
